Job summary

Talentify seeks a Mobile Phlebotomist to provide clinical pre-analytical services in a mobile setting under the Area Phlebotomy Supervisor. You will complete routes safely and on time, following all policies and procedures.

Responsibilities include driving to facilities, collecting specimens at patient bedsides, labeling and delivering samples, and maintaining equipment. Requires phlebotomy license, valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and adherence to universal precautions.

Qualifications

• High School diploma.
• Completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program, or adequate phlebotomy experience.
• Six months minimum experience in phlebotomy with emphasis in acute hospital, dialysis, pediatrics, or geriatrics.
• Demonstrates clean driving record within existing company policy.
• Demonstrates current proof of auto insurance coverage.

Responsibilities

• Drives vehicle to client facilities, typically nursing homes, as directed by company dispatcher.
• Unloads phlebotomy supplies and takes to patient’s bedside to collect samples ordered by physician.
• Accurately identifies patient before collecting specimen(s).
• Accurately collects, labels, processes, and delivers specimens obtained from patients.
• Reloads equipment and all necessary specimens to vehicle for prompt delivery.
• Regularly communicates with dispatcher to report status and location.
• Strict adherence to Universal Precautions in controlling blood-borne pathogens and infectious disease exposures.
• Maintain required certifications, health requirements, and operational requirements.
