Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Phlebotomy training or certification, or 12-18 months phlebotomy experience.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Background in medical terminology preferred.
• Ability to work independently in off-site environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipunctures and collect specimens at clinics and patient homes.
• Ensure patient identification using two identifiers prior to collection.
• Label and prepare specimens for transport with accurate documentation.
• Transport specimens to hospital or lab, maintaining integrity and timely delivery.
• Maintain accurate collection and transport logs; adhere to HIPAA and safety policies.
• Monitor mobile kit supplies and request restocking as needed.
• Use PPE and perform procedures under sterile conditions; dispose of sharps and biohazards properly.
• Maintain cleanliness and readiness of the mobile phlebotomy vehicle and equipment.
