Job summary

Lifeshare Blood Center in Baton Rouge seeks a Phlebotomist to serve as Mobile Operations Supervisor. You will perform blood collection and lead the mobile team to meet collection goals while upholding quality and customer service standards.

The Supervisor decides on scheduling, safety, policies, and public relations, engaging with donors, phlebotomists, other teams, and the public daily.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus at least 3 years of phlebotomy experience.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• At least 6 months of team captain or supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs blood collection procedures from various donor categories, including demographic info, mini-physical, venipunctures and donor observation.
• Administers post-venipuncture care and donors requiring reaction management or refreshments.
• Supervises team members: assigns duties, schedules hours, approves/denies time-off requests.
• Manages personnel activities: interviewing, hiring, coaching and performance reviews.
• Provides training and maintains documentation for mobile collections staff.
• Monitors budgeted expenses, overtime and timesheets; supports annual budgeting.
• Routinely drives a mid-sized bus/van (non-CDL) to remote worksites with staff and gear.
