Job summary

TridentCare in Anaheim, CA is seeking a part-time Phlebotomist to travel to client facilities, primarily nursing homes, to perform blood draws and follow established phlebotomy procedures.

You will identify patients, label specimens, transport PHI securely, maintain logs and timesheets, and coordinate with dispatch, payroll, laboratory and courier staff; a valid driver's license and auto insurance are required.

Qualifications

• Must have current clinical licensure if required by state.
• Knowledge of medical terminology as it relates to laboratory purposes.
• Proficient in phlebotomy procedures including venipuncture and labeling.

Responsibilities

• Drive to client facilities (mostly nursing homes) in personal vehicle as directed.
• Perform phlebotomy procedures and obtain blood samples from patients.
• Identify patients prior to drawing blood.
• Label specimens correctly and ensure proper transport with accompanying requisitions.
• Maintain PHI security during transport and data logs.
