Job summary

TridentCare is seeking a skilled phlebotomist to collect blood samples at client sites, primarily nursing homes in California. You will drive a personal vehicle or company vehicle as arranged, follow standard procedures, and identify patients before drawing blood.

Responsibilities include proper labeling, handling PHI, maintaining logs, coordinating with dispatch and lab teams, and ensuring equipment stays in good condition. A valid license and clean driving record are required.

Qualifications

• Must have current clinical licensure, if required by state.
• Proficient in phlebotomy procedures and venipuncture.
• Knowledge of specimen preservation and patient preparation.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• English language proficiency and accurate time-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Drive to client facilities (mostly nursing homes) as directed.
• Follow established phlebotomy procedures for blood samples.
• Identify patients prior to drawing.
• Label specimens properly with requisitions and billing info.
• Transport PHI per policy.
• Plan draw schedule with priority of patients.
• Complete logs and time sheets neatly.
• Coordinate with dispatch, payroll, lab and courier teams.
• Maintain equipment and report issues.
• Be available on-duty and respond to dispatch.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Area Phlebotomy Supervisor.
