Job summary

TridentCare is seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to perform blood collections in client facilities, primarily nursing homes. You will travel using your own vehicle, follow strict phlebotomy procedures, and ensure correct patient identification and specimen labeling.

You will also maintain documentation and coordinate with the dispatch and laboratory teams. The role requires current licensure where applicable, strong English communication, and the ability to work with minimal supervision while

Qualifications

• Current clinical licensure, if required by state.
• Knowledge of medical terminology as it relates to laboratory purposes.
• Proficient in phlebotomy procedures including venipuncture and tourniquet use.
• Knowledge of specimen preservation and patient preparation.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License and Auto Insurance.
• Access to a vehicle in good condition meeting daily driving requirements.
• Good driving record and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Able to obtain blood specimens from patients under various conditions.
• Proficient in written and verbal English.
• Ability to work professionally with clients, patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Drive to client facilities (mostly nursing homes) using personal vehicle as directed.
• Follow established phlebotomy procedures to obtain blood samples.
• Identify patients per policy before drawing blood.
• Label specimens correctly with requisitions and billing info.
• Transport specimens in compliance with PHI policies.
• Plan and prioritize draw schedule by patient needs.
• Complete logs and time sheets accurately.
• Coordinate with dispatch, payroll, laboratory and courier teams.
• Maintain all equipment and report issues promptly.
• Stay reachable on company mobile device and accept assignments.
• Notify dispatch of availability for future tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Area Phlebotomy Supervisor.
