Job summary

TridentCare in Los Angeles is seeking a full-time phlebotomist to drive to client facilities, mostly nursing homes, and collect blood samples following established procedures.

Must have a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle, with proficiency in phlebotomy, patient identification, and specimen labeling. Excellent English communication and the ability to coordinate with dispatch and other teams are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be proficient in phlebotomy procedures including venipuncture and proper specimen labeling.
• Knowledge of medical terminology related to laboratory work.
• Valid Driver's License and auto insurance with access to a vehicle.
• Ability to maintain accurate time sheets and logs.
• Proficient in written and verbal English.

Responsibilities

• Drive to client facilities (mostly nursing homes) using personal vehicle as directed.
• Follow phlebotomy procedures to obtain blood samples from patients.
• Verify patient identity before drawing blood per policy.
• Ensure specimens are properly labeled and accompanied by requisitions.
• Transport PHI per policy and maintain patient privacy.
• Plan draw schedules prioritizing patient needs and dispatch guidance.
• Complete logs and time sheets neatly and accurately.
• Coordinate with dispatch, payroll, laboratory and courier teams.
• Maintain equipment and report issues to supervisor promptly.
• Respond to availability cues and be ready for future assignments.
