Job summary

TridentCare is seeking a phlebotomist to perform blood collection at client facilities, primarily nursing homes, in Overland Park, KS. You will use your own vehicle for daily client visits and ensure accurate labeling, documentation, and privacy compliance.

The role requires a current clinical license (if required in the state) and a valid driver's license with insurance. Work hours are Monday–Friday, with a pay range of $21–$23 per hour and mileage reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Current clinical licensure, if required by state.
• Knowledge of medical terminology as it relates to laboratory purposes.
• Proficient in phlebotomy procedures, including venipuncture.
• Knowledge of specimen preservation and handling.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License and auto insurance.
• Access to a vehicle meeting daily driving requirements.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain time sheets.

Responsibilities

• Drive to client facilities (mostly nursing homes) using personal vehicle as directed.
• Perform phlebotomy procedures and obtain blood samples.
• Identify patients correctly prior to drawing.
• Label specimens accurately and accompany with requisition and billing info.
• Maintain proper PHI handling and transport.
• Plan draw schedules and manage multiple patient priorities.
• Maintain equipment and report issues promptly.
• Be responsive to dispatch and Area Phlebotomy Supervisor.
