Job summary

Trident Care is seeking a Mobile Phlebotomist to perform bedside blood collection across client facilities, primarily nursing homes, in a timely, safe manner. You will identify patients, collect and process specimens, and ensure proper labeling and delivery of samples as directed by the supervisor.

Responsibilities include operating a mobile unit, maintaining records, and adhering to safety protocols while ensuring excellent patient communication and professional conduct.

Qualifications

• Must have a current, valid State phlebotomy license (if required).
• Must have a current, valid State Driver’s license; car insurance; good driving record; a vehicle in good working condition.
• Proficient in venipuncture and skin puncture using vacutainer and syringe techniques.
• Knowledge of laboratory operations; sterile, sanitary conditions.

Responsibilities

• Drives vehicle to client facilities, typically nursing homes, as directed by dispatcher.
• Unloads phlebotomy tray and collects samples at patient’s bedside.
• Identifies patient before collecting specimens; labels, processes and delivers samples.
• Reloads equipment and delivers specimens to vehicle for prompt delivery.
• Maintains records and reports status and location to dispatcher.
• Maintains adherence to Universal Precautions and safety procedures.
