Job summary

GYMGUYZ Rhode Island is seeking a Personal Training Manager to lead and grow the Rhode Island territory. This hands-on leadership role combines coaching, client development and trainer mentorship, delivering creative, individualized personal training to clients in homes, offices and communities.

You'll build partnerships with local businesses, manage referrals, hit revenue goals and onboard new trainers while maintaining a high standard of service.

Qualifications

• Nationally recognized CPT certification (NASM, ACE, ISSA, ACSM or equivalent).
• Current CPR/AED certification.
• 3–5 years of fitness experience with leadership or management experience.
• Proven success selling and retaining personal training clients.
• Strong communication, relationship-building and follow-through.
• Confidence with community outreach and business development.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
• Flexibility for some early mornings and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Grow the business by building relationships with local businesses and community partners.
• Develop referral and corporate wellness partnerships.
• Represent GYMGUYZ at community events.
• Respond to inbound leads, conduct consultations and close new business.
• Own new client, revenue and renewal goals.
• Follow up consistently and track results.
• Deliver creative, individualized personal training.
• Conduct initial assessments and reassessments.
• Build trusted relationships that lead to renewals and referrals.
• Work with clients across different ages, abilities and fitness levels.
• Mentor, develop and support personal trainers.
• Help onboard new trainers.
• Coach the team on programming, communication, professionalism and client retention.
• Maintain a consistently high standard of service as we grow.
