Akumin is hiring a Part-time Patient Coordinator for our mobile imaging unit serving St Helena Adventist and Sutter Lakeside in California. You will greet patients, register and verify insurance, collect payments, and coordinate transport and documentation.

The role emphasizes customer service, accuracy of records, HIPAA compliance, and ability to work at multiple sites. CPR certification is required before hire; valid driver’s license and local travel may be needed. Benefits included.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR Certification must be obtained prior to hire.
• Valid state driver’s license may be required.
• Ability to work at several locations and travel locally.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients, customers and visitors in person and over the phone.
• Perform patient registration in various systems.
• Answer calls professionally and courteously.
• May collect monies for time-of-service patient responsibility.
• May verify insurance coverage and obtain prior authorization.
