Job summary

Akumin is hiring a Part-time Patient Coordinator for our mobile unit serving St Helena Adventist and Sutter Lakeside. You will greet patients, register them, verify insurance, and coordinate scheduling while maintaining patient records in secure systems.

The role requires CPR certification, a High School diploma, and a valid driver’s license. Bilingual Spanish is a plus; COVID vaccination may be required. Benefits and flexible scheduling are provided where applicable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR Certification required for Mobile Radiology/Oncology.
• Valid state driver’s license may be required.
• Ability to work at several locations.
• COVID-19 vaccination may be a condition of employment.
• Pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients and visitors in person and over the phone.
• Perform patient registration in systems.
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain prior authorization if needed.
• Schedule patient appointments and manage documentation.
• Maintain accurate patient records and HIPAA-compliant documentation.
• Transport patients as needed and assist with pre/post-procedure instructions.
