Job summary

Akumin is hiring a Patient Coordinator for its mobile unit at Kaiser West LA. This full-time role runs Sunday-Thursday from 11:00pm-6:00am and focuses on delivering a positive patient experience through registration, insurance verification, and procedural guidance.

You will greet patients, handle registrations, answer calls, collect payments when applicable, and ensure accurate documentation in electronic systems while upholding HIPAA regulations. Bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR certification required prior to hire.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• Ability to work at several locations across sites.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients, customers and visitors in person and over the phone.
• Perform patient registration in various systems.
• Answer all phone calls in a professional and courteous manner.
• May collect monies for time-of-service patient responsibility.
• May verify insurance coverage and obtain prior authorization.
• May conduct preliminary patient screening prior to procedures.
