Job summary

Akumin in Michigan is seeking a part-time Patient Coordinator for our Eaton Rapids Medical mobile unit to deliver excellent patient service. The role encompasses patient registration, appointment coordination, and support for clinical staff in a mobile imaging setting.

You will assist with insurance verification, documentation, and basic logistics, with CPR requirements and potential local driving as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR certification must be obtained prior to hire.
• Ability to work at multiple locations and travel locally.
• Valid state driver's license if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients, customers and visitors in person and over the phone.
• Register patients in various systems.
• Answer all calls professionally and courteously.
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain prior authorization.
• May collect time-of-service payments.
• Prepare and organize patient records and documentation.
• Assist in patient transfer to/from the exam room and provide post-procedure instructions.
