Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Western Territory - Cascade Division is seeking an Outreach and Engagement Assistant to coordinate mobile outreach for the homeless in Washington County, Oregon. You will conduct assessments, provide housing navigation, and link clients to community resources while working in a fast-paced nonprofit environment.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or GED, with an associate degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Trauma-informed care and community-building skills are preferred.
• Motivational interviewing skills are preferred.
• Bi-lingual in Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow a prescribed schedule to reach different pockets of homeless in Washington County.
• Maintain a Master service and referral information list of partners within Washington County.
• Conduct initial assessment to determine client's needs and meet with clients.
• Maintain weekly contact with clients and assist with housing readiness and referrals for employability and education.
• Provide intensive housing assistance including assessment, case management, and information/referrals.
