Job summary

The Salvation Army in Seattle seeks an Outreach & Engagement Specialist I (OES1) to assist homeless individuals living in vehicles toward housing attainment. You will conduct in-person outreach in Seattle, coordinate with partners, and refer clients to community resources to enable stabilization.

Responsibilities include intensive case management, referrals, and advocacy with landlords, with HMIS/Wellsky documentation and mandatory trainings.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in social work or related field required.
• 2+ years of relevant social services experience.
• Experience with Coordinated Entry for All (CEA) and Rapid Re-Housing (RRH) preferred.
• Trauma-informed care, networking and resource building experience.
• HMIS entries, exits, and reporting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Regularly engage clients living in vehicles in King County.
• Maintain contact during housing assessment and readiness planning.
• Provide intensive housing assistance and referrals to community resources.
• Coordinate with other agencies providing mental health, employment security, and substance abuse services.
• Document and track client data in HMIS/Wellsky and required reports.
