Job summary

HealthDrive Corporation seeks an Optometrist to serve residents in nursing homes and long-term care facilities in Southeast Massachusetts. Part-Time or Full-Time (2-5 days/week) with on-site work in Norfolk, Plymouth, and Bristol counties.

You will diagnose and treat refractive and ocular conditions, travel to facilities daily, and enjoy a competitive compensation plan with 100% malpractice coverage and comprehensive support. Full-time includes benefits starting day one.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Optometry (OD) required.
• State professional license required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• TPA certified / Legend Drug Certificate required.
• Ability to work independently on a daily basis.
• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide general optometry services to residents of nursing homes, assisted living facilities and long-term care facilities within a territory.
• Diagnose and treat refractive and ocular disorders.
• Examine, diagnose, treat, and manage diseases of the visual system and eye.
• Identify related systemic conditions affecting the eye.
• Document patient information in the EMR system.
• Travel daily to skilled nursing facilities for on-site care.
