Job summary

HealthDrive is seeking an Optometrist to join our Southeast Massachusetts team, serving Norfolk, Plymouth and Bristol counties. Work is available Part-Time or Full-Time (2–5 days per week) with a compensation plan offering a $625 daily minimum and a $800+ per day production potential.

You will provide optometry services in skilled nursing facilities with a mobile care model, supported by a full administrative team and provided equipment.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Optometry (O.D.) required.
• State professional license required.
• TPA certified/Legend Drug Certificate.
• Ability to work independently on a daily basis.
• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to use email, the internet and to learn other healthcare related software.

Responsibilities

• Provide general optometry services to residents in nursing homes and long-term care facilities.
• Diagnose and treat refractive and ocular disorders.
• Examine, diagnose, treat, and manage diseases of the visual system and eye and related structures.
• Identify related systemic conditions affecting the eye.
• Enter patient information and document in EMR system.
• Mobile model: travel daily to skilled nursing facilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions

• Diagnose and treat refractive disorders.
• Diagnose and treat ocular disorders caused by age-related illnesses.
• Examines, diagnoses, treats, and manages diseases, injuries and disorders of the visual system, the eye, and associated structures.
• Identifies related systemic conditions affecting the eye.
• Enters patient information and completes required clinical documentation in our cutting-edge EMR system.
• Mobile model treatment of patients requires daily travel to skilled nursing facilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
