Job summary

HealthDrive is seeking an Optometrist to work on-site in Southeast Massachusetts, serving nursing homes and long-term care facilities. Positions are available Part-Time or Full-Time (2-5 days per week) with a daily minimum and production-based compensation.

The role offers a comprehensive benefits package at full-time, mileage reimbursement, 100% malpractice coverage, and full administrative support. You will operate with autonomy and no patient quotas in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Optometry (OD) required.
• State professional license required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• TPA certified/Legend Drug Certificate preferred.
• Ability to work independently on a daily basis.
• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to use email, the internet and learn healthcare software.

Responsibilities

• Provide general optometry services to residents of nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and long-term care facilities within an assigned territory.
• Diagnose and treat refractive and ocular disorders.
• Examine, diagnose, treat, and manage diseases and disorders of the visual system and eye.
• Identify related systemic conditions affecting the eye.
• Enter patient information and complete clinical documentation in EMR.
• Daily travel to skilled nursing facilities for mobile treatment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
