Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated in El Monte, CA is seeking an Operating Engineer to maintain building systems and tenant comfort. You will perform preventive maintenance on HVAC and electrical systems and respond to service requests under the Lead Engineer.

Candidates need Local 501 membership or eligibility, a high school diploma with two years of trade schooling in HVAC or electrical, and 5+ years in critical facilities.

Qualifications

• Employee must be Local 501 member or eligible to join within 30 days.
• High School diploma or GED with two years of trade schooling in electrical systems or HVAC.
• 5+ years experience in critical, commercial, or industrial facility operations.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire suppression systems.
• Familiarity with life-safety systems and basic MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Respond to tenant service requests promptly and minimize disruption.
• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical and building systems.
• Monitor equipment readings and log changes; assist with start-up verifications.
• Troubleshoot building automation and pneumatic control systems.
• Support contractors during major overhauls and inspections.
• Ensure compliance with life-safety regulations and inspections.
