Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is seeking an Operating Engineer - HVAC to operate, maintain and troubleshoot complex industrial HVAC and environmental control systems supporting large-scale manufacturing and hangar operations in Mobile, Alabama. The role requires 6–8 years of experience with industrial HVAC, strong diagnostic skills, and certification in EPA 608 Type II.

On-site work, safety, and coordination with contractors are essential components of daily responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of experience maintaining and repairing industrial or commercial HVAC systems.
• Ability to analyze HVAC operation, diagnose malfunctions, and implement fixes.
• Knowledge of industrial HVAC systems, chillers, DX systems, air distribution.
• Ability to read HVAC drawings, P&IDs, control schematics, and manuals.
• Experience supporting mission-critical facilities.
• EPA 608 Type II Certification.
• Proficiency with MS Word and Excel.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial HVAC and environmental control systems.
• Maintain large-scale AHUs, chillers, cooling towers, boilers, and related equipment.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance and calibrations.
• Monitor performance, record readings, and adjust systems as needed.
• Troubleshoot controls, sensors, and automation interfaces.
• Coordinate and oversee contracted HVAC maintenance and service providers.
• Maintain preventative maintenance programs and documentation.
