Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) is seeking an Operating Engineer to operate and maintain complex building systems in a fast-paced facilities environment. You will monitor HVAC, boilers, chillers, pumps, and electrical distribution while ensuring energy efficiency and occupant comfort.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, emergency response, and documentation in CMMS. You will work with property management, contractors, and其他 engineers to uphold safety and building codes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid stationary engineer license or equivalent certification.
• 3–5 years hands-on experience operating and maintaining commercial building systems.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, boilers, chillers, electrical systems, and BAS.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, manuals, and building management system interfaces.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, work in confined spaces.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor building systems to ensure performance and energy efficiency.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections.
• Respond to emergency service calls and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Maintain logs and documentation using CMMS.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors during repairs and major projects.
• Ensure safety procedures and codes compliance.
