Job summary

Akumin is seeking an MRI Technologist to ensure patient safety and deliver high-quality MR studies on site or remotely. You will train staff, coordinate with radiologists, and maintain exceptional communication with patients and clients.

A strong MR registration and state licensure are required, with travel as needed. Preferred candidates have an Associate’s Degree or equivalent, ARRT/MR registration, and MR/other modality credentials.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
• Registered Technologist by the ARRT, NMTCB or ARMDS.
• MR registered technologist R.T. (MR) ARRT or ARMRIT.
• Technologists with MR Technologist Assistant oversight must be MR registered.
• 3 months supervised MRI clinical scanning experience OR currently enrolled for more than 6 months in an accredited MRI training program.
• State license and CPR certification.
• BLS upon hire, ACLS within 90 days of employment.
• Active State Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety and perform high-quality MR studies on site and remote.
• Communicate effectively with Radiologist, team, patients and customers.
• Train and orient new technologists, Patient Coordinators and MR Technologist Assistants.
• Operate multiple MR systems as required.
• Uphold safety and regulatory requirements; travel may be required.
