Job summary

Akumin Operating Corp. is seeking an MRI Technologist to ensure patient safety and to perform high-quality MR studies, on site and/or remote. You will communicate with Radiologists and team members, and you may train new technologists and assistants as needed.

Preferred candidates have ARRT MR registration or equivalent, strong customer service, and the ability to work at multiple locations. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and effective collaboration within a mobile environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• ARRT (R) or ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT as allowable by contract in lieu of ARRT.
• State license, if applicable.
• CPR Certification.
• Valid state driver’s license, as applicable.
• MR registered technologist RT(MR) or ARMRIT: No experience required.
• Ability to work at several locations.
• Strong customer service and organizational/multi‑tasking skills.
• COVID-19 vaccination may be a condition of employment.
• Local travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Produce high quality diagnostic MR images.
• Operation of multiple MR systems may be required.
• Demonstrates the ability to use all channels of communication to address concerns, solve problems, and address conflict.
• Effectively communicates with customers and/or radiologists.
• Trains and orients new technologists, patient coordinators, and MR Technologist Assistants, on site and/or remote.
• Other duties as assigned.
