Job summary

Akumin is hiring an MRI Technologist to perform high-quality MR studies with a focus on patient safety, communication with radiologists, and teamwork across locations. Responsibilities include training new technologists and supporting patient coordinators, both on site and remotely when needed.

The role requires ARRT MR certification or ARMRIT as applicable, strong customer service, and the ability to work across multiple MRI systems. Travel to mobile units may be necessary.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; ARRT(R)/MR or ARMRIT as allowed by contract.
• State license, if applicable.
• CPR Certification and valid license.
• MR registered technologist: RT(MR) or ARMRIT with no experience required.
• 1 year MRI experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety and perform high-quality MR studies.
• Operate multiple MR systems as required.
• Communicate with radiologists, team, patients, and customers.
• Train/orient new technologists, Patient Coordinators and/or MR Technologist Assistants (on site and/or remote).
• Maintain patient care and safety standards; travel may be required for mobile units.
