Job summary

Akumin® is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform high-quality MR studies while ensuring patient safety. The role involves collaboration with radiologists, team members, patients, and customers in on-site and remote settings.

Responsibilities include pre-screening for contraindications, producing diagnostic images on multiple MR systems, and training technologists and assistants. The position requires ARRT/ARMRIT credentials, CPR, and the ability to travel to various locations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• ARRT (R) or ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT acceptable by contract.
• State license if applicable.
• CPR certification.
• Ability to travel to multiple locations.
• COVID vaccination may be required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety, including pre-screening for contraindications and aseptic technique.
• Produce high quality diagnostic MR images on multiple MR systems.
• Communicate effectively with radiologists, staff and customers.
• Train and orient new technologists, patient coordinators and assistants onsite or remote.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
