Job summary

Akumin seeks an MRI Technologist to perform high-quality MR studies while ensuring patient safety. The role may be on site and remote, with effective communication to radiologists, team members, patients, and customers in a mobile environment.

Responsibilities include pre-screening for contraindications, producing diagnostic images, training new technologists and coordinators, and coordinating with MR Technologist Assistants. State license and MR registration required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
• Registered Technologist in MR with ARRT/NMTCB/ARMDS.
• MR-registered technologist with potential oversight must be MR registered.
• CPR certification; BLS at hire and ACLS within 90 days if applicable.
• State radiologic or magnetic resonance technologist license, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety and perform high-quality MR studies.
• Communicate effectively with radiologists, team members, patients and customers.
• Pre-screen for contraindications and oversee remote MR Technologist Assistant as needed.
• Train or orient new technologists, patient coordinators and MR Technologist Assistants, on site or remote.
• Operate multiple MR systems and adapt to mobile environment as required.
