Job summary

Akumin is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform high-quality MR studies, ensuring patient safety on-site and remotely when required. You will communicate with radiologists, team members, patients, and customers across a mobile environment.

Responsibilities include training staff, pre-screening for contraindications, and operating multiple MR systems. ARRT MR or ARMRIT certification, CPR, and a valid state license are required where applicable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• ARRT (R) or ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT as allowable by contract in lieu of ARRT.
• State license, if applicable.
• CPR Certification.
• Valid state driver’s license, as applicable.
• MR registered technologist RT(MR) or ARMRIT: No experience required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for patient safety, including pre-screening and aseptic technique.
• Produces high-quality diagnostic MR images; operate multiple MR systems.
• Communicates effectively with radiologists, patients, and team members.
• Trains and orients new technologists and support staff on-site or remote.
• Other duties as assigned.
