Job summary

360care seeks a dedicated Medical Assistant to support physicians at assigned long-term care facilities. You will assist with audiology, optometry, podiatry, and behavioral health, maintain EMR charts, and ensure timely documentation and charge posting.

The role requires travel to facilities, strong patient service, and meticulous record-keeping. Responsibilities include chart prep, daily production reporting, and maintaining medical equipment and supplies.

Qualifications

• High School education or GED.
• Must have own reliable transportation, good driving record and car insurance.
• Must have completed and passed a two-step Tuberculosis (TB) Skin Test.
• Good computer skills required.
• Must have excellent communication skills.
• Must be able to follow directions and listen to needs of patients and doctors.

Responsibilities

• Assist doctor in a prompt and courteous manner.
• Completes chart prep on scheduled patients prior to every visit.
• Verifies and maintains current clinical records and charts through EMR during patient visits.
• Assures integrity of all documentation.
• Maintains current and accurate clinical records and charts through EMR.
• Completes end of visit reports on the day of visit and shares with management.
• Provides daily feedback and works with branch office to optimize schedule and reporting.
• Coordinate and maintain patient flow during facility visits (e.g., assist with chairs and wheelchairs).
• Balance and generate daily production reports and provide to manager.
• Post charges to the appropriate provider in a timely fashion.
• Work in a medical office capacity provided by the facility.
• Responsible for all care and cleaning of medical equipment at end of every visit.
• Maintain medical supplies inventory by auditing stock and placing orders.
• Prepare supplies to minimize waste and duplication.
• Ensure all medical equipment is working properly via preventive maintenance.
• Clean up the service area upon departure.
• Be able to multitask, be detail oriented and provide exceptional customer service.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ensure a positive experience for our patients.
• Communicate effectively with patients, family, providers, and staff.
• Respond to patient inquiries; document conversations in the EMR.
• Travel up to 100% of the time to assigned facilities.
• Support and comply with the compliance program and HIPAA/PHI guidelines.
• Adapt to changes and perform other duties as assigned.
