Job summary

360care is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians across long-term care facilities, assisting with audiology, optometry, podiatry, and behavioral health services while maintaining accurate EMR charts and managing medical equipment and supplies.

The role emphasizes strong communication, meticulous documentation, patient flow management, and reliability, with travel required up to 100% to assigned facilities, and strict adherence to HIPAA and OSHA guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School education or GED.
• Own reliable transportation with a good driving record and car insurance.
• Must have completed and passed a two-step TB Skin Test.
• Good computer skills required.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must be able to follow directions and listen to patients and doctors.

Responsibilities

• Assist doctor in a prompt and courteous manner.
• Completes chart prep on scheduled patients prior to every visit.
• Verifies and maintains current and accurate clinical records, charts and medical history through electronic medical records during patient visits.
• Balances and generates daily production reports and provides to manager on day of visit.
• Responsible for all care and cleaning of medical equipment at the end of every visit.
• Maintain medical supplies inventory and place/expedite orders for supplies.
• Ensure all medical equipment is working properly by completing preventive maintenance per manufacturer instructions.
• Communicate effectively with patients, family members, providers, and staff.
