Job summary

Cox Fleet, part of Cox Automotive, is hiring a Light & Medium Duty Technician to service light/medium duty fleets and deliver on-site maintenance across customers. You will perform certified DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light repairs on diverse truck equipment, with a focus on safety and compliance.

Requires a HS diploma or GED and 3 years of related experience; DOT pre-employment screening and a valid license are important. On-call flexibility may apply.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with 3 years in related field; or 5 years related experience.
• DOT pre-employment background screening and DOT medical clearance.
• Valid state driver’s license and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor repairs on electrical/brake/cooling systems and engine components.
• Document work orders with RO photos and parts used per company standards.
• Diagnose, adjust and repair truck equipment including engines, transmissions and hyd systems.
• Communicate findings and obtain approvals with Dispatch and customers.
• Follow safety, health, environmental policies and DOT regulations.
