Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Light & Medium Duty Technician to service on-site fleets across the country. The role includes certified DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light to medium repairs on gas engines and electrical systems.

You will document work orders, coordinate with Dispatch, and ensure DOT compliance while managing parts on a company service truck. HS diploma and 3 years related experience required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED plus relevant experience in light/medium-duty repair.
• Must meet DOT/FMCSA requirements and possess/maintain a valid DOT medical card or DOT physical as applicable.
• Experience with DOT forms, maintenance documentation, and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and preventative maintenance on light/medium-duty trucks.
• Diagnose, repair, and test electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems.
• Document work orders with photos and notes per RO requirements.
• Communicate with Dispatch and customers for approvals and parts needs.
• Maintain safety, health, and environmental compliance and OSHA/DOT standards.
• Manage parts inventory on the service truck and with suppliers.
