Job summary

Montgomery-Floyd Regional Library in Montgomery County, VA seeks a full-time Library Associate II for the Mobile Library. The role involves planning, staffing, and driving the Mobile Library to provide access to services and materials to the public.

Responsibilities include safe operation, developing schedules, assisting patrons with Reader’s Advisory, supporting programming and outreach, and supervising staff as needed; some evenings and weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent is required.
• Library experience is preferred.
• A valid Virginia Driver’s License is required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, staff, and drive the Mobile Library to serve the public.
• Safely operate the mobile library in compliance with laws and procedures.
• Develop the schedule of mobile library stops and communicate with stop locations.
• Provide Reader’s Advisory and reference services at mobile stops.
• Assist with planning and implementing library programming and outreach from the Mobile Library.
• Supervise assigned staff.
