Job summary

Akumin is hiring a Patient Coordinator for the mobile unit in American Fork, UT. The role is full-time and involves welcoming patients, handling registrations, and coordinating with clinical staff to ensure a smooth patient experience.

CPR is required prior to hire, and a valid driver’s license is needed for mobility between sites. The position emphasizes patient-centered care, accurate documentation, and strong customer service as you support procedures and admissions in a mobile radiology

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.

Responsibilities

• Greets and assists patients, customers and visitors in person and over the phone.
• Registers patients in various systems and verifies insurance or obtains prior authorization.
• Answers calls professionally and courteously; may collect time-of-service payments.
• May transport patients to/from exam room and assist in patient transfer.
• Provides preliminary and post-procedure instructions and documents visits accurately in the systems.
