Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Mobile Engineer to perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, and grounds across client sites from St. Louis to Kansas City.

The role supports the Engineering and Technical Services function, with a Monday–Friday schedule and no mandatory on-call. CBRE provides a company van, gas card, tablet, phone, and PPE, plus boots annually and tools needed to perform duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required with 4–5 years of related experience.
• Universal CFC certification and valid driver’s license required.
• Experience working on self-contained units is necessary.
• Knowledge of water-cooled heat pumps is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and repairs on mechanical, industrial, plumbing, structural, life safety and control systems.
• Review work orders and estimate time/materials needed for repairs; manage tools/inventory.
• Implement preventive maintenance programs to extend equipment life and reliability.
• Ensure building systems meet design specs and environmental conditions.
• Ensure compliance with codes, regulations and safety directives.
• Operate company vehicles to perform daily tasks.
• Apply standard principles to complex assignments and provide solutions.
• Coach others and share knowledge across related disciplines.
• Lead by example, build consensus and promote CBRE values.
• Impact client and internal teams through service activities.
• Work within broad guidelines and explain difficult information.
