Job summary

Amrize, a leading supplier of construction materials in the United States, seeks a Mobile Mechanic to support operations at the Millville Quarry located in Millville, WV. This role maintains and repairs heavy mobile equipment used to extract, transport, and move aggregate materials.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of hands-on experience with diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems, with the ability to read manuals and schematics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience maintaining and repairing heavy construction, mining, quarry, or aggregate equipment.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, powertrain components, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and hydraulic or electrical diagrams.
• Welding and fabrication experience is preferred.
• Commitment to safety regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on heavy mobile equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and diesel engine issues.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns promptly to minimize downtime.
• Repair or replace engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspensions, pumps, and electrical systems.
• Perform welding, cutting, and light fabrication as needed.
• Complete work orders and maintenance reports accurately and timely.
• Inspect equipment daily and identify wear or potential failures.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow MSHA regulations.
• Coordinate with operations to prioritize repairs and ensure equipment availability.
• Assist with parts inventory and communicating material needs.
