Job summary

Amrize, a leading supplier of quality construction materials, seeks a Mobile Mechanic to support operations at the Millville Quarry in Millville, WV. The role maintains and repairs heavy mobile equipment used to extract, transport, and move aggregate materials.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of experience with diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems, and is capable of welding and fabricating as needed. CDL is a plus; OT and emergency calls may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, powertrain and pneumatic systems.
• Experience maintaining and repairing heavy construction, mining, quarry or aggregate equipment (3–5 years).
• Welding and fabrication experience preferred.
• Ability to read manuals, schematics, and hydraulic/electrical diagrams.
• Valid driver's license; CDL a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on heavy mobile equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and diesel engine issues.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns promptly to minimize downtime.
• Repair or replace engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspensions, hydraulics, pumps and electrical systems.
• Weld and fabricate to repair or modify equipment.
• Complete work orders and maintenance documentation accurately.
• Inspect equipment daily and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain safe, clean work environment following MSHA regulations.
• Coordinate with operations to prioritize repairs and ensure equipment availability.
• Assist with parts inventory and communicating material needs to the team.
