Job summary

Amrize is hiring a Mobile Mechanic to service heavy quarry equipment at our Millville, WV site. You will perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on haul trucks, loaders, excavators, and more to keep production on schedule.

The role requires 3–5 years in heavy equipment maintenance, strong diagnostic skills, and the ability to read manuals and diagrams. Welding/fabrication skills and a valid CDL are a plus. This is a full-time, on-site position with safety-first policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred studies in Diesel Technology, Heavy Equipment Technology, or related mechanical field.
• 3–5 years of experience maintaining and repairing heavy construction/mining equipment.
• Ability to read manuals, schematics, and hydraulic/electrical diagrams.
• Welding and fabrication experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on heavy mobile equipment (haul trucks, wheel loaders, excavators, dozers, graders).
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and diesel engine issues.
• Respond to breakdowns promptly to minimize downtime.
• Repair or replace engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspensions, hydraulics, pumps, and electrical systems.
• Perform welding, cutting, and light fabrication as needed.
• Complete work orders and maintenance documentation accurately.
• Inspect equipment daily and propose corrective actions.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment following MSHA and company policies.
• Coordinate with operations to prioritize repairs and ensure equipment availability.
• Assist with parts inventory and communicate material needs.
