Job summary

Generator Supercenter, Inc. is seeking a Generator Service Technician to diagnose and repair standby power systems, with travel to customer homes for service and maintenance of Generac generators.

The role requires reading manuals and wiring diagrams, updating the service software, and adhering to safety practices while working outdoors in varying weather. Typical hours are Mon-Fri 8 AM–5 PM, with occasional schedule changes to support customer needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. Electrical certification a plus.
• Strong customer service and communication skills (verbal and written).
• Problem-solving, organization, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work independently, demonstrating initiative.
• Must be physically able to perform job duties including bending, stooping, climbing ladders, pulling, grasping, and walking on uneven surfaces.

Responsibilities

• Drive company vehicle to customer residences to perform service and maintenance on Generac generators.
• Communicate with customers regarding arrival times, work performed, and outcomes.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair home standby generators.
• Follow manuals, diagrams, blueprints, and procedures.
