Job summary

Protech Automotive Solutions is seeking an Automotive Installation Technician to join our growing team. This hands-on role involves installing and supporting GPS, telematics, cameras, sensors, and other fleet technology across vehicles and assets.

The ideal candidate has an automotive, electrical, fleet, or installation background and a strong mindset for safety, quality, and learning new technology. This positions emphasizes hands-on work, travel to sites, and collaboration with customers.

Qualifications

Hands-on automotive/electrical/mechanical installation experience.
Knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and basic diagnostics.
Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical instructions.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Professional communication and customer service.
21+ years of age and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Install and troubleshoot GPS, ELDs, telematics, cameras, sensors, and tracking equipment.
Work on light-duty vehicles, trucks, tractors, trailers.
Perform basic 12V/24V wiring.
Route and secure wiring for clean installations.
Test connectivity and system functionality.
Travel to customer and fleet locations for mobile installs.
Maintain safety, quality, and right-first-time installations.
