Job summary

Protech Automotive Solutions is seeking an Automotive Installation Technician to join our expanding team. You will install and support GPS, telematics, cameras, sensors, and other fleet technology across vehicles and trailers.

If you have an automotive background and want to transition into fleet technology, your skills will transfer well. Travel to customer sites for mobile installations, with a focus on safety, quality, and right-first-time work.

Qualifications

Hands-on automotive, electrical, mechanical, or installation experience is required.
Knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and basic diagnostics.
Comfortable reading wiring diagrams and technical instructions.
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record is required.

Responsibilities

Install and troubleshoot GPS, telematics, dash cameras, sensors, and tracking equipment.
Work on light-duty vehicles, trucks, tractors, trailers, and fleet assets.
Perform 12V/24V wiring, including power, ignition, ground, and trailer connections.
Route and secure wiring for clean, professional installations.
Test system functionality and connectivity (GPS, cellular, cameras, sensors).
Diagnose electrical, connectivity, and installation issues.
Document installations with photos, device information and service notes.
Travel to customer and fleet locations for mobile installations and projects.
