Job summary

Protech Automotive Solutions is seeking an Automotive Installation Technician to join our growing team. This hands-on role involves installing and supporting GPS, telematics, cameras, sensors, and other fleet technology across cars, trucks, tractors, and trailers.

You’ll work with light- to heavy-duty vehicles and gain experience in diagnostics, wiring, and on-site installations while learning new technology.

Qualifications

• Hands-on automotive, electrical, or installation experience.
• Knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and basic diagnostics.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and follow technical instructions.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Professional communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Install and troubleshoot GPS, ELDs, telematics, dash cameras, sensors, and tracking equipment.
• Work on light- to heavy-duty fleet assets with mobility.
• Perform basic 12V/24V wiring and vehicle connections.
• Route and secure wiring for clean installations.
• Test system functionality and diagnose issues.
• Document installations with photos and notes.
• Travel to customer sites for mobile installations.
