Job summary

Budget Truck Rental is seeking an experienced automotive technician to repair and maintain a fleet of cargo vans and box trucks. You will perform standard and complex repairs, including preventive maintenance and diagnostics, to keep vehicles safe and on the road.

The role involves mobile repair duties, occasional road travel, and the potential CDL requirement depending on location. The company offers on-the-job training, benefits, and opportunities toward ASE certifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience performing mechanical repairs and diagnostics on medium-degree or heavy-duty equipment.
• At least 1 ASE certification, with ability to obtain 2 additional ASE certifications within the first year.
• Valid Driver’s License; CDL may be required depending on location.
• Ability to obtain DOT medical clearance.
• Comfortable working outdoors and in a mechanical shop environment with moderate noise.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard and complex repairs on cargo vans and box trucks with minimal supervision.
• Includes preventive maintenance, oil changes, tire repairs, brakes, and electrical diagnostics.
• Mobile repair responsibilities and travel to vehicle locations as needed.
• Drive Budget Trucks on public roads for repair or transport when required.
