Job summary

Avis Budget Group is seeking an experienced automotive technician to perform standard and complex repairs on a fleet of cargo vans and box trucks. You’ll handle preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and warranty work with minimal supervision.

The role includes mobile repair responsibilities and may involve driving Budget Trucks to locations, applying diesel/medium-duty expertise to keep customers moving safely.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience performing mechanical repairs and diagnostics on medium-duty or heavy-duty equipment.
• At least 1 ASE certification, with ability to obtain 2 additional ASE certifications within the first year.
• Must have a complete set of tools required for automotive and diesel repair.
• Valid Driver’s License Class A, B, or C CDL may be required depending on location.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in a mechanical shop environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard and complex mechanical repairs on a fleet of cargo vans and box trucks with minimal supervision.
• Include preventive maintenance, oil/fluids, tires, brakes, suspension, electrical diagnostics, and warranty work.
• This role includes mobile repair responsibilities and may require driving Budget Trucks on public roads to diagnose/resolve issues.
• Work on newer vehicles across multiple brands using diesel/medium-duty expertise to reduce downtime and improve reliability.
