Job summary

Avis Budget Group is seeking an experienced automotive technician to service Budget Truck operations. You will perform repairs on a fleet of cargo vans and box trucks, including preventive maintenance and electrical work, with opportunities for mobile repairs on customer sites.

The role requires at least 2 years of experience, ASE certification, and the ability to obtain additional ASEs. You will work across multiple brands and may drive Budget Trucks as part of the job, contributing to safety

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License Class A, B, or C CDL may be required depending on location.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience performing mechanical repairs and diagnostics on medium-duty or heavy-duty equipment.
• At least 1 ASE certification, with the ability to obtain 2 additional ASE certifications within the first year.
• Working knowledge across ASE areas including Engine Repair, Drivetrain/Axles, Suspension/Steering, Brakes, Electrical, Heating/Air Conditioning, Engine Performance, and Light Vehicle/Diesel.
• Must be at least 21 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard and complex mechanical repairs on a fleet of cargo vans and box trucks with minimal supervision.
• Include preventive maintenance, oil and fluid services, tire repairs, brake and suspension work, electrical diagnostics, and warranty-related repairs.
• Mobile repair responsibilities; may travel to vehicle locations to diagnose and resolve issues.
• May drive Budget Trucks on public roads for repair or transport needs; work on newer vehicles across multiple manufacturers.
• Apply diesel and medium-duty expertise to reduce downtime and improve reliability.
