Job summary

JLL is seeking a Mobile Engineer to join the Fire Life Safety team in Mountain View, CA. The role involves maintenance, inspection, testing and repair of fire and life safety systems across facilities, with focus on alarms, sprinklers, doors and interlocks.

The engineer will diagnose issues, coordinate vendor activity, and ensure systems are restored to full operation. Ideal candidates have hands-on FLS experience, strong trouble-shooting skills, and the ability to document findings and actions.

Qualifications

Hands-on experience with Fire Life Safety systems and related equipment.
Ability to diagnose system issues and coordinate repairs.
Strong knowledge of fire alarm concepts and system interfaces.
Experience documenting conditions, repairs and actions.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, testing, troubleshooting, and repair activities on fire and life safety systems.
Inspect and troubleshoot fire alarm systems, initiating devices, notification appliances, and control panels.
Troubleshoot initiating devices (smoke detectors, heat detectors, pull stations, etc.).
Support testing and maintenance of automatic sprinkler systems and standpipes.
Coordinate vendor access, testing, and corrective work to restore systems safely.
Prepare and submit incident reports and maintain system documentation.
