Job summary

JLL is seeking a Fire Life Safety Technician for on-site responsibilities in Portland, OR. You will inspect extinguishers, test pumps, and support FLS systems to uphold safety standards.

Duties include audits, record-keeping, and assisting with installation and maintenance of fire suppression equipment. Requirements include 5+ years in facility maintenance, NFPA 20 and Fire Pump Inspector certifications, and proficiency in inspections and risk assessment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma.
• 5+ years of experience in facility/plant engineering maintenance.
• Portable Fire extinguisher inspections and recharge.
• Fire Pump Inspector Certification and NFPA 20 Certification.

Responsibilities

• Inspect fire extinguishers monthly and ensure proper operation.
• Run and test fire pumps; maintain records of inspections.
• Inspect alarms, sensors, and fire detection devices.
• Assist in installation, repair, and troubleshooting of fire suppression systems.
• Coordinate fire drills and emergencies; stay updated on safety regulations.
