Job summary

Automotive Technology Experts (ATE) is seeking a Field Mechanic Technician for mobile service, supporting Crash Champions locations. The role combines full mechanical repair with advanced diagnostics and ADAS calibration, traveling daily in a company vehicle.

You will perform diagnostics, programming, cal brations, wiring work, and mechanical repairs per OEM guidelines, ensuring safety and quality.

Qualifications

• 4+ years automotive mechanical experience required, extended mechanical scope beyond calibration-only roles.
• I-CAR PL3 certification within 90 days of hire and ASE certification scheduled within 90 days of hire.
• Strong knowledge of light and moderate mechanical repair, ADAS, electrical systems, diagnostics, programming and calibrations.
• Experience in suspension, brakes, HVAC, dash removal, air bag installation, and post collision inspections.
• Proficiency with electrical diagnostic tools and vehicle health scans using factory or approved non factory tools.
• Ability to explain technical findings clearly and professionally to customers.

Responsibilities

• Deliver fast and accurate ATE service support to internal and external customers.
• Travel daily to assigned service locations in a company provided vehicle.
• Perform diagnostics, scanning, programming, calibrations, electrical diagnostics, wiring repair, and light to moderate mechanical services.
• Conduct engine, drivetrain, cooling, and post collision mechanical inspections per OEM standards.
• Diagnose and initialize SRS components in alignment with manufacturer guidelines.
• Perform ADAS diagnostics and calibrations when trained and authorized.
• Document all services clearly and obtain approvals per OEM guidelines.
• Own root-cause analysis and electronic validation of vehicle systems.
• Conduct test drives to verify system functionality and repair outcomes.
• Provide excellent customer service and escalate concerns as needed.
