Job summary

Automotive Technology Experts (ATE) is seeking a Field Mechanic Technician for mobile, field-based work delivering high-quality mechanical, diagnostic, programming, calibration, electrical, and safety services to Crash Champions locations, third party partners, and retail customers.

The role blends full mechanical repair with advanced diagnostics and ADAS calibration, requiring travel daily in a company vehicle and the ability to work independently in fast-paced automotive shop environments.

Qualifications

• 4+ years automotive mechanical experience required; expanded mechanical and safety-critical scope.
• I-CAR PL3 certification expected within 90 days of hire.
• ASE certification scheduled within 90 days of hire.
• Proficient with electrical diagnostic equipment and vehicle health scans.

Responsibilities

• Travel daily to service locations in a company-provided vehicle.
• Perform diagnostics, scanning, programming, calibrations, electrical diagnostics, and mechanical repairs.
• Document services, scan reports, and final billing per OEM guidelines.
• Conduct test drives to verify system functionality and repair outcomes.
• Provide excellent customer service, communicate findings clearly, and escalate concerns when appropriate.
