Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to service 5-6 retail stores across a defined region. You will troubleshoot and repair commercial RTUs, split systems, and related building systems.

The role includes preventative maintenance, use of CMMS to document work, and coordination with external contractors. Company vehicle, gas card, tools, and mobile devices are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and a minimum of 2 years of related experience and/or trade school training.
• Possess and maintain a valid driver's license and good driving record with periodic checks.
• Possess necessary skills to functionally operate a "full size" van/truck.
• Universal CFC or EPA certification preferred.
• Excellent social skills, including oral and written communications.
• Uses computer and / or PDA for work order system, email, and training.
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Performs assigned day-to-day repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance.
• Reviews assigned work orders and estimates time and materials.
• Orders necessary materials and supplies to finish tasks and uses CMMS to manage work orders.
• Leads troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems to include HVAC, plumbing, roofs, drains.
• Inspects new installation for compliance with building codes and safety laws.
• Oversees and inspects the work performed by outside contractors.
• Maintains the building lighting system and performs related repairs.
• Performs furniture assembly and locksmith tasks as needed.
• Responds quickly to emergency situations and communicates activity daily via PDA.
